Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s ongoing legal faceoffs has been in the news for several months. From fighting for the custody of their kids to the drama surrounding the sale of the Château Miraval – the French winery they co-owned and were married at, the Jolie vs Brad case is only getting muckier with more shocking revelations being made. After Brad being handed the latest victory in the French estate case, Angelina’s team now made some jaw-dropping claims.

While it is known that Angelina Jolie accused Brad Pitt of being abusive towards her and the kids on their infamous flight from Paris to LA – after which she filed for divorce, a new claim suggests Pitt allegedly proposed an NDA to Jolie that would prevent her from speaking about any personal misconduct by Pitt. In the latest court filings, Jolie’s legal team alleged that Pitt prevented her from selling her share of the French winery until she signed the ‘onerous’ and ‘expansive’ NDA.

Latest court filing

On Thursday, Jolie’s lawyers stated that Pitt’s physical abuse towards her began before the highly publicized 2016 incident. A court filing obtained by USA TODAY read, “While Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles, this flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well. Jolie then immediately left him.”

According to Angelina Jolie’s lawyers, Brad Pitt “wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement” on learning that Jolie had submitted sealed documents to help settle their child custody battle. Pitt reportedly agreed to purchase Jolie’s shares in the French winery after learning about the sealed documents but later changed his mind fearing the sealed documents might become public.

Angelina Jolie’s lawyer on NDA

The site noted Jolie’s lawyer, Paul Murphy saying, “Mr. Pitt refused to purchase Ms. Jolie’s interest” in the winery “when she would not be silenced by his NDA. By refusing to buy her interest but then suing her, Mr. Pitt put directly at issue why that NDA was so important to him and what he hoped it would bury: his abuse of Ms. Jolie and their family.” “After eight months of delays, this motion asks the Court to force Mr. Pitt to finally produce that evidence,” Murphy added.
