Angelina Jolie weighed in on the future of one of her most recognizable characters. The 49-year-old actress brought the iconic Sleeping Beauty villain to life in the 2014 live-action movie Maleficent. She reprised the role five years later in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. During a recent interview, Angelina shared her thoughts on bringing Maleficent to life again in the future. Keep reading to find out more… Speaking to Deadline, Angelina noted that she has a history of playing characters who are “a bit traumatized.” That included Maleficent, who she said was concerned about being judged. “She was struggling in bouts,” she said, noting that the character was still able to tough it out. When asked if she would play the role again, Angelina responded positively, saying, “I would love that. I would love to play her again.” Of course, some fans might recall that Maleficent 3 was confirmed to be in the works in late 2023. Angelina is expected to reprise her role. However, we haven’t gotten a substantial update on the movie since then.
