Angelina Jolie shines as real-life opera singer Maria Callas in the debut trailer for Maria. The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, follows the “American-Greek soprano as she retreats to Paris after a glamorous and tumultuous life in the public eye. Maria hits select theaters in the U.S. on November 27 and arrives on Netflix on December 11. The film received an 8 minute standing ovation at a recent film festival, and THR predicts that Angelina will be nominated for an Oscar for her performance.
