Anna Kendrick is reflecting on a bad experience with a director. The 39-year-old Pitch Perfect star made an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, and spoke about feedback she received from a director that humiliated her in front of extras. Keep reading to find out more… “I remember a director once in a room full of 100 extras or something being like, ‘Hey, on this next one just try something. Just make something up. Just improv something,’” she recalled. “And [I did it] and then the director called cut and came over and, once again in front of 100 extras, was like, ‘Oof, let’s go back to the script!’” “It really felt like a very specific power move thing to embarrass me, to gain dominance. It was very icky,” she said, while choosing not to name the director of the movie. However, she noted that the moment wound up in the movie’s trailer. “And then the thing that I improved ended up in the trailer. So f— you!” she added. She also opened up about her experience in an abusive relationship.
