Anthony Gordon has been getting the beers in for Newcastle United fans.

This is ahead of the home match with Brighton.

The game kicking off at 3pm at St James’ Park.

Only a free-kick from St James’ Park is the Strawberry pub.

With Newcastle United fans there today, reporting that Anthony Gordon has put some cash behind the bar to buy them a drink.

A class move by the Newcastle star.

Some might say he has plenty of cash BUT he doesn’t have to do this type of thing AND how many other players do anything similar for their fans?

It is very reminiscent of the brilliant Paul Heaton, who regularly does this before gigs, including when he has played Newcastle. Leaving money behind the bar of a number of local pubs on the day of the gig, to give them a free drink.

Can Newcastle United fans confirm whether Anthony Gordon, or anybody else(!), has paid for free drinks today at any other Newcastle boozers?

What a touch by @anthonygordon putting money for fans behind the bar in the @theberrypub today .. he’s fully invested in our fans and the city that’s for sure. Doesn’t need to do it but that’s the class of the fella. #NUFC @OliviaApsara .. thankyou ⚫️⚪️❤️🙌🏼 pic.twitter.com/1DiCuLYRdK
