Upon departure from Lyon, Anthony Lopes would rather like to join another Ligue 1 team.

Arriving at the age of 10 in Lyon, Anthony Lopes should, unless the situation turns around, leave his long-time club this summer, one year from the end of his contract. One thing is certain: he will not be retained by his leaders, who have already recruited his successor in the person of Lucas Perri, starter in the Coupe de France final lost on Saturday by OL against PSG (2-1 ).

Author of another great season in the Lyon cage, Anthony Lopes is already not short of requests. Approached by Saudi clubs, the 33-year-old goalkeeper would also be on the shelves of FC Nantes, according to the indiscretions of Tele Nantes Info.

Lopes “rather agree in principle”

In search of a replacement for Alban Lafont, who could leave Nantes this summer despite a contract running until June 2027, the Canaries have started discussions with Anthony Lopes and his entourage. A destination which would clearly not displease the Portuguese international, “ tend to agree in principle”.

However, the file promises to be complex for the people of Nantes. Indeed, the salary of 400,000 euros gross per month that Lopes currently receives in Lyon is inaccessible for residents of La Beaujoire. Both parties will therefore have to make an effort financially for the transfer to be successful.
