However, it is understood that it's standard procedure at United for players coming back from a lay-off to train individually.

Martial has been ravaged by setbacks since joining the Red Devils, with the 28-year-old failing to feature since December 9.

And the ex-Monaco starlet's representative has stated that a hip injury is what is keeping him from joining in with his teammates in full training.

Rubbishing rumours that Martial has been exiled by Ten Hag, his agent Philippe Lamboley told Sky Sports: "What is said about him is completely false.

"He was not excluded from the group and he has no problem with the coach, Erik ten Hag.

"Anthony has been in Manchester for nine seasons and if he was not a great professional, he wouldn't have been at the club for so long.

"He is simply going to undergo a small operation on his abductors, which he should have done for a while and which did not allow him to be 100 per cent, so he will do it now."

Lamboley then confirmed talkSPORT's story that Martial will remain at Old Trafford until the summer before departing on a free transfer.

He added: "Anthony will not leave [in January] and will stay until his contract ends in June."

United would be open to cashing in on the player during the winter window, but as of yet, they have not received any formal offers.

Meanwhile, Martial is aware he will not be able to command the sizeable salary he earns at Old Trafford once his deal expires.

Martial has featured in 13 Premier League matches so far this term, but he has found the back of the net on just one occasion.
