While Atletico have already recruited their replacement, Antoine Griezmann is in talks with another club with a view to a transfer.
Los Angeles FC are in talks with Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
The French international, who has two years left on his contract, has been announced as a possible transfer from the Californian team. American journalist Tom Bogert claims this Wednesday that negotiations between the two parties have already begun. LAFC hopes to sign the striker before the Major League Soccer transfer window closes on August 14. They therefore have one week to conclude the operation.
Griemzann ready to move!
Bogert revealed: » LAFC is in active negotiations to sign French star Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. A deal before the August 14 deadline is not out of the question, but it is obviously difficult. It is very likely that Griezmann will join LAFC, but when? Now, in the winter or next summer?
On the Madrid side, a possible departure of the Mâconnais has already been anticipated by getting their hands on the Manchester City striker, Julian Alvarez.
If he joins Los Angeles, Griezmann would be reunited with his teammate Olivier Giroud. The latter had settled on the West Coast of the United States after the end of his contract with AC Milan.
