Antony is ‘focused’ on Manchester United and will come back a ‘different’ player in the final months of the season, the winger’s agent has said.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this week, with United willing to accept a fee in the region of £50m for a player they signed for £85m 18 months ago.

The winger is yet to score a single goal this season nor provide an assist.

Antony was taken out of the team at the start of the campaign after facing domestic assault charges.

Erik ten Hag says that has disrupted Antony’s campaign, but he’s been benched in recent weeks in favour of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

‘Manchester has so far not communicated any interest in transferring him in either the January or summer window.’ said Junior Pedroso.

Antony is focused on these four months of the season so he can improve his performance, knowing that he needs to score goals and assists.

‘This is his focus. Today our head is on Manchester United.

‘He knows very well that he needs to score, there’s no point in just playing good games, he has to score goals and provide assists. He is very coherent about this.

‘He will come back different, his head has become a little key and certainly in these four months he will show much more than he showed this season.’

Anthony Martial is out for the next 10 weeks following groin surgery.

After Jadon Sancho’s loan move to Dortmund, United are short of options in attack and would require a replacement for Antony should they receive an acceptable fee.
