The March 1st, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown started with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline making their entrance to bask in the crowd’s acknowledgment in Arizona. However, when the audience persisted in chanting ‘Cody,’ The Rock stepped in to assert control and redirect their focus. Braxton has now apologized for The Rock’s promo on the show.

The show kicked off with a 39-minute segment featuring The Bloodline. The initial part included Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso, with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson joining later.

In a controversial turn, The Rock referred to nearby Phoenix as the #1 city in America for certain substances. Despite this, fans continued to cheer him on. The Rock escalated his confrontational approach by labeling fans as “cactus-loving crackheads” and teasing a physical encounter, mentioning “22 inches of heaven” for those daring to go one-on-one with him.

The Rock’s controversial remarks on social media garnered the expected mixed response, with many entertained by the antics of The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. However, Kayla Braxton took to social media and extended an apology for the provocative comments made by the future WWE Hall of Famer.

“I’m sorry for what my coworker just said about Phoenix. I happen to absolutely love it here and think the people are delightful. [flushed face emoji] #WWESmackdown.”

The Rock also challenged Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to tag team match at WrestleMania 40. We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book The Rock as we head towards the Show of Shows.
