The latter of which has become a newly minted Piltover officer. Whereas previous teaser trailers teased the allegiances between the two, today’s trailer, “Come Play,” showcases what’s in store for viewers when the combustible enemies clash—all to the tune of Stray Kids, Young Miko, and Tom Morello’s new single (“Come Play”) from Arcane‘s raucous new soundtrack. Interspersed within the trailer’s callbacks to season one is a lightning-fast action supercut of the season are scenes where Vi, Caitlyn Kirraman, Ekko, Heimerdinger, and Ambessa face off against Jinx and Sevika. While the news caused unease among fans, it won’t be the last time they see an Arcane show. Arcane co-creator and Riot Games creative director Christian Linke confirmed that there are more League of Legends stories the team wants to tell.
In tandem with Arcane’s new trailer, Riot Games announced a slew of content coming to League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Valorant, and Legends of Runtera over the coming months. Riot’s upcoming fighting game, 2XKO, will also release an updated Jinx skin on November 11 inspired by Arcane. Outside of gaming, Arcane also plans on releasing Fenty beauty makeup, Funko pops, BlackMilk Uniqlo clothing collabs, and more. In short, they’re super capitalizing off Arcane hype and hope players and nonplayers get involved in the merriment.
