I know Ariana Madix from the Scandoval on Vanderpump Rules, which she parlayed into more exposure and gigs. She’s currently hosting Love Island: US, the sixth season of which just aired its finale. (I saw four episodes of the third season, realized it was a kind of influencer zoo with over 20 episodes, and then watched the finale.) Ariana seems uniquely positioned to understand the messed up dynamics of beautiful people stuck in a reality TV fishbowl. Ariana, 39, is also under the same pressure as the Love Island contestants to look as perfect as possible on screen and on social media. She’s had some injectables, which is pretty typical. Ariana commented on a post from an aesthetician showing her face before and after and speculating what she’s had done. She said she hasn’t had a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) but that she’s had Botox and filler. She also promised to keep people updated as gets more done. Here’s more, from People Magazine.

Ariana Madix is sharing all of the work that she’s done to maintain her youthful looks.

Last month, an Instagram user — who is an injector and aesthetic physician assistant — posted before and after photos of the Love Island USA host, 39, while speculating the cosmetic procedures she’s had over the years.

“Stunning injectables have entered the villa. Ariana continues to show the Love Island world how cosmetic work can preserve and enhance and not age and distort,” the woman wrote, claiming that she believes the Bravo star has gotten lip filler, volume replacement filler, jawline contouring with liposuction, and a blepharoplasty to remove excess eyelid skin.

On July 17, Madix responded to the video, setting the record straight on her appearance in the comments.

“i’ll tell you what i’ve had! you’re partially correct,” the Vanderpump Rules star wrote. “tox in 11’s, outer brow, and my neck. ellevate for my neck in 2019 by @theneckdoctor. minimal lip filler bc my face is too small to handle very much and filler in my chin.”

“absolutely no filler anywhere else and def no bleph yet ❤️❤️,” she added. “hope this helps! i’ll keep yall posted if i do anything else.”

Good for her for being open about it. It’s impressive to me when celebrities and reality stars admit exactly what they’ve had done. In video of Ariana on Love Island (I’ve included an Instagram post below) she looks great, it just looks obvious to me. She looks a bit different, but she still looks like herself. When I see women in person with Botox and fillers I usually notice, but maybe that’s just when they get too much. (There are so many at the new boutique gym I joined. It seems like every other woman has lip filler and carries a Stanley cup.) One of my friends got Botox and I never noticed though. She told me she asked for the lowest possible amount.

There’s a difference between actors getting work done and reality stars though. When I see actresses on screen who can’t move their faces I find it distracting, unless it’s believable for their character. Think Emily Blunt in Oppenheimer vs. The Fall Guy.
