Amidst rumours of a breakup with long time girlfriend Malaika Arora, actor Arjun Kapoor shared a cryptic Instagram Story on Saturday. Arjun and Malaika made their relationship public in 2018 on Arora’s 45th birthday. The couple have been facing breakup speculations recently. Malaika was previously married to Arbaaz Khan, with whom she has a son named Arhaan, who lives with her.

In a recent news post shared by Arjun, he wrote, “We have two choices in life. We can be prisoners of our past or explorers of future possibilities.” This post came just a day after Malaika Arora’s manager, in a conversation with India Today, denied the breakup rumours. She said, “No no, all rumours.”
Previously a source told Pinkvilla, “Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship.”
The source further elaborated, “They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite them deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time.”
On the professional front, Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing the antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Singham Again. The film features a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh. Singham Again is the third instalment of the successful Singham franchise, following Singham (2011) and Singham Returns (2014), both of which were box-office hits. The film is slated for a theatrical release in August 2024.
