Arn Anderson responds to the rumors about him potentially being a manager for Cody Rhodes.
WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson was previously paired up with Cody Rhodes as his coach in AEW. Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022, and Anderson recently left AEW upon the expiration of his contract. Rhodes, the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, recently sparked some buzz by saying that he was possibly looking for the classic manager, leading many to connect the dots to Anderson.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Arn Anderson was asked about Cody Rhodes’ comments.
“I wonder what that was about. What was he setting me up for in that deal? I did [hear what Rhodes said], and I was very humbled and appreciative, and he allowed me to have some fun on my way out, which I thought I was way past that,” Arn Anderson said. “So I was very appreciative of that.”
Arn Anderson On Potential WWE Return
Anderson was then asked whether he would potentially return to WWE and reunite with Rhodes. He noted that he was old, but he would be interested in seeing whether others thought it would be a good idea.
“Well, in case you don’t know, I am 65, and my liver is 127. I am on short time, and I don’t have a lot of time. Would I come back in the right situation for a short-term something with Cody? If anybody out there thinks it’s a good idea, let me know. I don’t know. That would be something because he and I have never had that conversation. We had a couple texts back and forth, and it never came up. So I went, maybe that was just him testing the waters himself.”
Cody Rhodes is set to appear on the June 7 episode of WWE SmackDown. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
