Stevens on the NWA locker room
WrestleZone recently spoke with Aron Stevens, who was asked about being seen as a mentor. Missa Kate told Fightful that Stevens was one of the people she’d ask for advice.
Stevens was asked how he views the unofficial locker room role. He spoke about how welcoming the locker room was, noting people put pettiness aside and just try to coexist with each other.
“We don’t placate to what society thinks we should do. We give everyone, regardless of who they are, an opportunity. And I say we, [meaning] Billy [Corgan], [gives] everyone an opportunity, regardless of who they are, to prove themselves,” Stevens clarified. “And if you prove yourself, guess what? Provided you’re not a jerk and you can exist in the locker room with — I don’t know how much you know about our locker room, but, everyone has constantly said we are the most relaxed, welcoming, and friendly locker room you will find.
“So if you can exist with us, which is not a hard thing to do,” he continued, “then guess what, you’re on the team. Let’s go. And that’s the way it should be.”
