After registering the permanent signing of David Raya, loaned with an option to buy by Brentford during the previous season, Arsenal have just secured the services of a new goalkeeper. This is Tommy Setford, a young goalkeeper trained in the Netherlands and an England U20 international. As he entered the final year of his contract with Ajax Amsterdam, the Haarlem native will continue his progression with the Gunners.
“Ajax have reached an agreement with Tommy Setford and Arsenal over the immediate transfer of the goalkeeper to London. Setford’s contract with Ajax is set to run until June 30, 2025.“, the Dutch club said in an official statement on Sunday.
