Lille striker Jonathan David has been long linked with a move to the Premier League and reports suggest Arsenal and Liverpool are targeting a move for the striker.

The Canada international has scored 13 goals in 19 games for Lille this season and his contract expires at the end of the season.

That means Lille are running out of time to cash in on the 24-year-old.

According to Tuttosport, Lille could accept offers in the region of €20-30m in January to avoid losing David on a free in the summer.

The Italian outlet suggests Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus and Inter Milan are potential suitors.

Manchester United were linked with a move for David earlier this year, with journalist Ben Jacobs claiming the Reds considered a swoop for the striker. He also stated that Tottenham had the striker on their radar for a year.

David stayed at Lille and has continued scoring goals for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Lille are dealing with the headache of potentially losing two of their star players in the summer.

Manchester United are understood to be keeping tabs on former academy graduate Angel Gomes. GiveMeSport believe he is being targeted by the Reds as well as Tottenham, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.

The midfielder, who left United in 2020 to sign for Lille, is available on a Bosman at the end of the season.

Gomes is said to be eager to return to the Premier League after establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1. He was rewarded for his performances earlier this year when handed his debut for the England national team.

Having come through the ranks at United, Gomes made 10 appearances for United before his transfer to Lille.

There will be plenty of competition for Gomes’ signature.
