Arsenal fear losing Amario Cozier-Duberry on a free this summer, with the highly-rated academy product yet to agree a new contract, according to reports.

Cozier-Duberry is regarded as one of the Gunners’ best young talents and was even likened to Bukayo Saka by club icon and Under-18s manager Jack Wilshere.

The teenage winger has scored 13 goals and made five assists in 23 appearances for the Arsenal U21s this season and was twice named on the bench for a first-team match by Mikel Arteta.

However, the 18-year-old has just two months left on his contract and according to the Evening Standard is weighing up whether to remain at his boyhood club amid widespread interest from across Europe.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League rivals Newcastle, though Arsenal are determined to keep hold of him and have held talks over a new deal.

Clubs in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland and Spain are also said to be tracking the player.

Given Cozier-Duberry is a boyhood Arsenal fan, the club are hopeful they can retain his services but he is undecided on where his future lies.

The forward, who has also been capped many times at England youth level, was a vital player in Arsenal’s run to the FA Youth Cup final last season.

Discussing Cozier-Duberry’s potential, Wilshere said last year: ‘Amario is very exciting and Mikel likes him.

‘He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, plays in the same position as him, needs to get better with his decision-making like Bukayo did, but he’s definitely exciting.

‘In some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen. You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance.’

This season, Cozier-Duberry’s efforts have helped the Gunners reach the quarter-finals of the Premier League 2 play-offs where they’ll face Chelsea on Saturday.

But with the first-team still gunning for the Premier League title, it is unlikely that the starlet will make his senior debut before the end of the season.
