Gary Neville reignited a debate with Arsenal fans after Gabriel's opening goal against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Gunners defender broke the deadlock with a thunderous header from a Declan Rice corner early on.
Gabriel was a menace in the box for Arsenal on SaturdayCredit: GettyA Dean Henderson own-goal doubled their lead, although it was Gabriel's head once again that caused serious problems as his effort deflected off the Palace goalkeeper.
However, the Brazilian was on the wrong end of an aerial challenge at St James' Park earlier this season as Joelinton climbed above him for Anthony Gordon's controversial winner.
Manager Mikel Arteta described the award of the goal as a 'disgrace' after VAR decided not to intervene, but Neville did not agree.
Reacting on commentary in November, the Manchester United legend said: "What’s not in doubt is the goal itself.
"[David] Raya underneath it, he makes a mess of it, Gabriel might be whining about a push in the back but there’s nothing in that for me.
"That’s not a free kick for me from Joelinton, I just think Gabriel leans forward to head the ball and stoops down and misses it.
"That’s a natural jump for the ball, I’m not having that one at all."
Neville received a furious backlash from Arsenal supporters over his view on the incident - but has now accused them of double-standards.

Posting an image of the incident, Neville said on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Arsenal fans think this is a foul then."

An Arsenal fan then accused Neville of anti-Gunners bias for seemingly sharing two different views on similar incidents.
But he responded: "No mate I don’t think it’s a foul like I didn’t at Newcastle."
