Arsenal face Tottenham on Sunday for another north London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This encounter will have a bit of historical value as the Gunners will be playing in their away kit, black. It is the first time in 38 years, since the 1986/1987 season, that they will not wear their usual red and white colours against their rivals.

Needless to say, this is not their doing. According to The Telegraphit was the Premier League’s arbitration body that decided so. It was deemed that the home jersey was incompatible with Tottenham’s due to too much white surface. Arsenal tried to negotiate by wearing red socks and shorts but this request was refused.
