Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 24-year-old Polish international is not a regular starter for them and a report from HITC claims that the player has been informed that he is free to move on this summer.

Arsenal have secured an agreement to sign the Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori and therefore Kiwior is likely to fall further down the pecking order next season. It would be ideal for him to move on in search of regular playing time. The player has been linked with a return to Italian football and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

There is no doubt that the 24-year-old is a quality player with a big future ahead of him and he needs to join a club willing to provide him with ample game time. The defender has done well in Serie A in the past and a return to Italy would be ideal.

Jakub Kiwior to leave Arsenal this summer?

Jakub Kiwior needs to leave Arsenal

Kiwior cannot afford to sit on the bench at Arsenal at this stage of his career. Regular football at another club will help him improve and fulfil his tremendous potential. Meanwhile, Arsenal have sufficient depth at the back as well, and it is fair to assume that they could be open to selling the player for the right price. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can recoup a respectable amount of money for the Polish defender.

Meanwhile, Calafiori is regarded as one of the finest young defensive prospects in European football and he will be expected to hit the ground running at Arsenal. It remains to be seen whether the 22-year-old Italian international can establish himself as a key player for the Gunners. He could form a solid partnership with William Saliba at the heart of the Arsenal defence.
