Arsenal sold Robin Van Persie to Manchester United more than a decade ago and some fans might still not be over it.

The Dutch attacker helped the Red Devils win the league title in his debut season and Van Persie’s sale was questioned by everyone who was not supporting Man United.

Now another Arsenal player has left the club after rejecting a new contract offer to move to Man United.

2007 born Chido Obi Martin has decided to accept a proposal to join Man United, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

Obi Martin confirmed his Arsenal exit through his Instagram account. He wrote:

‘I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Arsenal for the past four years. The experiences and growth I’ve achieved here have been truly invaluable.

‘A special thanks to the coaches, staff, and team-mates at Hale End. The memories made will always be remembered.

‘Thank you once again for this journey. I wish everyone continued success and all the best for the future.’

The player has now decided to join Man United as he has complete faith in the ongoing project at Old Trafford.

As reported by Romano, he had better offers from other clubs but his heart was set on a move to Man United.

Obi-Martin joined Arsenal from Denmark’s Kjobenhavns Boldklub.

Chido Obi-Martin has left Arsenal and he is on his way to join Man United.

When he was fifteen, he played for Arsenal’s U18 team, showcasing his goal-scoring abilities.

Arsenal lose a prolific attacker to Man United

Last season, he scored ten goals in one game for the Arsenal U16s against Liverpool when the Gunners beat the Merseyside club 14-3.

Another memorable performance came against Norwich at the U18 level when he scored seven goals in a 9-0 win.

It would be a huge loss for the Gunners to lose a player like this but their loss is Man United’s gain.

They get another attacker who knows how to score goals and his record speaks for himself.

The striker still has a long way to go to make it to the first team but the signs are encouraging.
