Arsenal are reportedly keen on the Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj.
The 22-year-old has been a key player for Ajax and his performances have attracted the attention of the north London club.
According to a report from the Standard, Arsenal are looking to bring in a quality replacement for Aaron Ramsdale who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season. Newcastle are reportedly leading the race to sign the Arsenal goalkeeper who is set to leave the club in search of regular first-team action.
Arsenal have David Raya as the first charge goalkeeper at the club and he has been outstanding for them so far. Ramsdale is unlikely to get first-team opportunities next season and it makes sense for him to move on.
Ramaj could be the ideal alternative to Raya at Arsenal. It will be interesting to see if the German keeper is ready to accept the role of a squad player at the north London club.
He is a regular starter for Ajax and sitting on the bench at Arsenal might not be an appealing option. It remains to be seen how the Premier League club manages to convince the player.

Ramaj is an excellent short stopper and his distribution skills have been quite impressive as well. He could be the ideal fit for the Arsenal style of football and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Arsenal certainly have the financial muscle to convince Ajax to sell the player this summer. The Dutch outfit have had a disappointing campaign this year and they will look to rebuild the score in the summer. They could certainly use some funds and selling Ramaj to arsenal will boost their transfer warchest.
The Ajax goalkeeper is certainly good enough for the Premier League and it remains to be seen whether he is ready to take up a challenge and compete with David Raya for the starting spot at Arsenal in the coming seasons.
