Arsenal are scouting Las Palmas goalkeeper Alvaro Valles ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
The 26-year-old, who started his career in the Real Madrid youth ranks, is also being watched by fellow English side Aston Villa and La Liga club Real Betis.
Valles has played every minute for Las Palmas in La Liga this season, with the side currently ninth in the Spanish top-flight, above the likes of Villarreal and Sevilla.
He has made a total of 129 appearances for Las Palmas to date and his contract is currently set to expire in the summer of 2025.
Amid the transfer interest from Arsenal, Villa and Betis – Valles remains calm over his future – and will assess his options at the end of the season.
That’s according to Relevo, who report that Valles wishes to focus on completing the 2023-24 campaign with Las Palmas for now.
Arsenal’s interest in signing a new goalkeeper comes amid reports that Aaron Ramsdale is expected to depart the Emirates at the end of the season.
The Englishman has lost the No.1 spot to David Raya this term and recently made a nightmare error against Brentford – a game in which Raya was unable to compete in due to his loan agreement.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have also been linked to another goalkeeper, Patrick Schulte, who plays for Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer.
The 23-year-old helped his side win the 2023 MLS Cup in his first season – and in January – he made his debut for the United States in a friendly against Slovenia.
