Declan Rice showed he’s a dab hand with a golf ball during a keepie-uppie challenge with a difference.

The Arsenal star joined his teammates in Dubai as part of the Gunners’ warm-weather training camp as the Premier League begins its winter break.

For Mikel Arteta’s side, the break arguably comes at the perfect time with Arsenal in the midst of some stuttering mid-season form.

The Gunners relinquished top spot after two consecutive league defeats before being dumped out of the FA Cup by Liverpool last Sunday.

But it appears the downturn in form hasn’t dampened Rice’s mood as he attended the DP World Tour's season-opening Dubai Invitational earlier this week.

Rice was given the task of keeping control of a golf ball using a lofted club and after a few failures, the 24-year-old showed an immense level of skill and concentration to pull off a very respectable score.

The midfielder ended his run with a total of 50 keepie-uppies in the challenge made famous by legendary golfer Tiger Woods.

Woods broke the early internet back in 1999 with an iconic Nike advert, juggling a golf ball between his legs while switching hands.

And the five-time Masters champions would no doubt have saluted the England international for his fine efforts.

Ryder Cup star Justin Rose was certainly impressed, commenting on the DP World Tour's video: "Not bad mate!"

Attention will quickly turn to next weekend’s clash with Crystal Palace in what is a crucial fixture for Arteta’s men.

Arsenal have slipped to fourth place and could yet kick off their next fixture in fifth should Tottenham see off Manchester United on Sunday.

With little room for error in an already congested top four, Arteta will be hoping the warm-weather camp can galvanise his side ahead of an intriguing second half of the season with as many as five teams capable of mounting a title challenge.

The Gunners will be hoping to go one better than last season after being pipped to the title in the closing stages by Pep Guardiola’s eventual Treble winners.
