Arsenal wins the North London derby! This Sunday, the Gunners won against Tottenham with a score of 3 goals to 2. Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and a CSC from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg allowed Mikel Arteta’s men to take the three points.

A valuable success for the Londoners who consolidate their first place and who put pressure on Manchester City who travel to the Nottingham Forest pitch this Sunday afternoon. At this moment, the Cannoniers are 4 points ahead of the Citizens who have two matches in hand.

On the other hand, this result does not suit Spurs in this final sprint. In the fight for fourth place with Aston Villa, Heung-Min Son’s partners are 7 points behind the Villans but with two games in hand. Nothing is decided, but the points will be very expensive at the end of the season.

Clinical and merciless Gunners!

Arsenal wanted to shine and show their superiority against their sworn enemy. In the first half, Mikel Arteta’s players delivered a performance on all levels. From the start of the match, the Gunners did poorly. Bukayo Saka kicks a corner from right to left which finds the head of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who propels the ball into his own net (1-0, 15th).

A few minutes later, the Red and Whites made the break thanks to a goal from Bukayo Saka who concluded, full of composure, a lethal counterattack from his team (2-0, 27th). But that’s not all, the Gunners will continue to roll and leave nothing to their opponents. Kai Havertz heads a corner taken from the left to the right by Trossard (3-0, 38th).

Tottenham scares Arsenal

After a largely controlled first act, Arsenal returned with the same intentions but made a few more errors on a technical level. A few minutes after the hour mark Davi. Raya revives the Spurs in the match by missing his recovery at the feet (3-1, 64th).

Feverish and less sure of their strength, Arsenal will let their opponent return to the game little by little. At the end of the match Heung-Min Son converts a penalty which gives hope to his people (3-2.87). Despite strong pressure on Raya’s cage and offensive situations, Postecoglou’s players ultimately failed to overthrow the rival. Arsenal were scared but still struck a big blow on the pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
