Edu recently announced his upcoming departure from Arsenal after serving as the club’s sporting director after making his debut for the Gunners in 2019 as sporting director. Since this announcement, many names have been mentioned to succeed him as sports director. In addition to the two former members of the house Tomáš Rosický (44 years old) and Per Mertesacker (40 years old), Thiago Scuro (AS Monaco), Simon Rolfes (Bayer), Roberto Olabe (Real Sociedad) and even Luis Campos (PSG) are announced by different English media.

Already courted by Rennes, Lens, Nice and even Monaco, the architect from Brest ultimately remained in Brittany. Not spared from criticism, he nevertheless managed, with few resources, to work miracles and build a team that does better than defend itself in the Champions League. Not sure that this is enough for a club as posh as the London club…
