Arsenal are ready to press ahead with a move for the RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
The striker has been linked with clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United as well. According to HITC, the player has indicated a preference towards Arsenal and the Gunners hold an advantage in the transfer race. They are now looking to step up their efforts to sign the player.
The striker has a £55 million release clause in his contract and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal are ready to pay up. They will need to bring in a quality striker this summer and the 21-year-old Slovenian could prove to be an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian striker scored just four goals in the league this season and Arsenal need to bring in an upgrade.
Sesko is likely to improve with coaching and experience, and he could develop into a key player for the North London club. He has been in fine form this season and he has scored 18 goals in all competitions. His numbers are likely to improve when he is playing in a better team alongside better players.

Arsenal have an attacking approach and they have quality creators at their disposal. Sesko is likely to get more goalscoring opportunities at the London club, and he will be able to improve his numbers.
There is no doubt that he has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in English football and he will look to make an instant impact if the transfer goes through.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United need to add more depth to their attacking unit as well. The Blues have been overly dependent on Cole Palmer and they need another reliable goal scorer in the side. As for Manchester United, Rasmus Hojlund needs more support in the attack and signing another goalscorer would be a wise decision.
