Arsenal are keen on signing the Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu.

A report from Star claims that the Gunners could send scouts to watch the player in action later today. Fenerbahce take on Hatayspor and Kadioglu will be in action.

The 24-year-old left-back has been in impressive form this season and he has picked up two goals and three assists across all competitions. He could prove to be a solid acquisition for the Gunners.

Arsenal have Oleksandr Zinchenko as their left-back option and they are clearly lacking in depth in that department. Signing another quality left-back would be ideal for them.

Kadioglu has been a key player for the Turkish outfit and he is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition. The report claims that Fenerbahce are likely to demand in excess of €30 million for him.

Sacha Boey recently completed a €30 million move to Bayern Munich and the Turkish giants rate Kadioglu higher.

Although it would be a premium asking, price, Arsenal certainly have the financial muscle to afford the defender. It will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with an official proposal in the summer.

Arsenal are currently pushing for the league title and they are expected to secure Champions League qualification. The opportunity to play for them will be an attractive proposition for the 24-year-old defender and he will look to establish himself as a key player for the Gunners.

Kadioglu would not only improve them defensively, he could make a big impact going forward as well.
