Arsenal welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates this weekend as they look to end their winless Premier League run, live on talkSPORT.

It's now three matches without a league victory for Mikel Arteta's men, while defeats to West Ham and Fulham could prove damaging in the title race.

But they've had a nice break between their last match against Liverpool in the FA Cup to recharge and prepare for the rest of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Palace have just been knocked out of the FA Cup by Everton after a replay and have won just one of their last nine league games.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Misfiring Gunners

There is no doubt that Arsenal are an excellent team in almost every area of the pitch.

However, goalscoring is becoming a real issue and needs to be addressed in some way.

It's no secret they would like to sign a striker this month, but with Financial Fair Play restricting them, it's possible we won't see any new arrivals at the Emirates.

If this were to be the case, solutions from within the squad would need to be found.

Bukayo Saka is the Gunners' top Premier League goalscorer with six, while Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli aren't finding the net as often as last season.

This is putting pressure on Kai Havertz and even Declan Rice to chip in, which leads to defeats like the one against West Ham, where the Gunners simply couldn't find the net.

It's a real problem, and Arteta needs to fix it.

Arsenal are spreading the goals around, but no one is scoring enough

Arsenal are spreading the goals around, but no one is scoring enough After a run of just one win in eight Premier League games against Crystal Palace (D5 L2) from 2018-19 to 2021-22, Arsenal have now won each of their last three against the Eagles. Crystal Palace have won just one of their last 12 Premier League away games against Arsenal (D4 L7), winning 3-2 in April 2019. Crystal Palace have picked up fewer points in Premier League London derbies this season than any other side (6 – W1 D3 L3). Away from home, the Eagles have won just one of their last 17 matches against fellow London clubs (D9 L7), a 2-1 victory at West Ham in November 2022.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: Team news

The hosts expect to have Gabriel Jesus fit after a minor knee injury, and he's been training in Dubai with the rest of his teammates, so he should be in the matchday squad.

Oleksandr Zinchenko could also return.

However, this one comes too early for Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira, while Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny are on international duty.

Jurrien Timber is still recovering from an ACL injury.

Meanwhile, Roy Hodgson is likely to be without Michael Olise, who has a hamstring problem.

Cheick Doucoure is out for the rest of the season, while Joel Ward and Rob Holding are also struggling.

The Gunners haven’t lost three consecutive such games since March 1993. Arsenal have taken just four points from their last 15 available in the Premier League, winning once, drawing once and losing three. They had only dropped nine points from their opening 15 league games this season beforehand (W11 D3 L1). Crystal Palace beat Brentford 3-1 last time out – they’re looking to win consecutive Premier League games for the first time since April 2023, when they won each of their first three following Roy Hodgson’s return to the club.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: What has been said?

Graeme Souness is confused why the Gunners signed Havertz last summer when they have Emile Smith Rowe.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "Smith Rowe? I like him. As a midfield player running into the box, clever passes, everything seems to be done when he is sprinting which I like. Goal threat.

"Then you go spend £60million, Arteta. So the point I want to make is that £60m, I think is a fair criticism, you've spent…

"You know what I am on about, building a football team, you try to strengthen the weakest part of your team.

"I think for most people, Arsenal needed another striker with [Gabriel] Jesus.

"So you go and take Kai Havertz from Chelsea for big money when really you've got a homegrown player that is every bit as good as him."

Their last two at home have both finished in 0-2 defeats – they’ve not lost three in a row at home without scoring since a run of four in November/December 1908. Only Liverpool (17) and Luton (14) have scored more goals in the final 15 minutes of Premier League games this season than Arsenal (11). Meanwhile, only Sheffield United (16) have conceded more in the last 15 minutes than Crystal Palace (11), with the Eagles shipping a league-high 38% of their goals in this timeframe. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has been involved in 15 goals in his last 18 Premier League London derby matches, scoring six and assisting nine. Three of those came in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace in this exact fixture last term. Eberechi Eze could make his 100th Premier League appearance in this match, the 19th player to do so for Crystal Palace. Aged 25 years and 205 days on the day of this game, he’d be the third youngest to reach the milestone for the Eagles, after Tyrick Mitchell (24y 15d) and Wilfried Zaha (24y 192d).
