After the 5-1 defeat to Monaco, Red Star Belgrade coach Vladan Milojevic praised the Monegasques’ superiority, describing their intensity as “other-worldly”.
After a heavy 5-1 defeat against AS Monaco on the 3rd day of the Champions League, Vladan Milojevic, coach of Red Star Belgrade, was full of praise for the Monegasques. Dominated in all aspects of the game, the Serbs quickly gave in to the intensity and “modern football” of Monaco. “It’s a very strong team that put a lot of pressure on us. There was a gulf between our two teams,” said Milojevic, highlighting the difference in level between the national competitions and the C1.
Milojevic: “The intensity of Monaco is otherworldly”
Despite a tight score of 1-1 a few seconds before halftime, Monaco quickly took the lead and rolled into the second half. “Monaco is used to these matches with more intensity. We do not have this possibility,” added the Serbian coach, aware of the gap that separates his team from the European leaders. For him, this experience nevertheless remains valuable for Red Star, who will face FC Barcelona the next day.
