It’s no secret that Saudi Arabia, which will host the 2034 World Cup, wants to get its hands on known players to develop its local championship. Recently, the name of Vinicius Jr was even mentioned. The same goes for Paulo Dybala. In May, Al-Shabab had positioned itself to recover the Argentinian whose contract ends in June 2025. But negotiations between the different parties had not been successful. The Italian press had even mentioned a possible extension at AS Roma de la Joya. Then, Al-Qadsiah entered the dance to recruit him. A few days ago, Sky Italy explained that the 2022 world champion had rejected the rich Saudi club, but discussions had continued between the different parties.

I won’t go back over this story, but I just want to say one last thing. I would be scared by a Roma team without Paulo. Numerically we are fine, even if someone had to leave. But at that point we would have to replace him with strong players who are functional for the project. Obviously we will move forward with whoever arrives“, declared the Italian coach, Daniele De Rossi, a few days ago on the microphone of DAZN. A way to prepare for an inevitable departure announced. And according to our information, Paulo Dybala has given his green light to leave the Giallorossi and join Al-Qadisiyah, a club which notably recruited Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.

The Argentinian is expected in Saudi Arabia in the coming days

Furthermore, according to our indiscretions, the negotiations went very well between the two clubs. AS Roma is close to agreeing to transfer the Argentine international for an amount between 3 and 4 million euros. A total agreement has almost been reached between the Italian club and the Saudi team. The Argentine should sign a 3-year contract and will receive a salary of 15 million euros net per season. Now, Paulo Dybala could arrive in Saudi Arabia in the coming days.

Having played for Palermo and Juventus before joining the Louve, he spent twelve years in Italy. A country he appreciates and where he exploded at the highest level. Now, he will go and discover the Saudi Pro League in a club where Nacho and Koen Casteels also play. This is a big coup for the Al-Qadisiyah project, promoted to the Saudi Pro League. The Aramco company also has its role to play in this rapid development. A global energy giant, Aramco has the highest market capitalization in the world and this potentially makes Al-Qadisiya the richest football club in the world. And this financial power is not without ambition.
