Roma continues to move forward with its crazy transfer window. After the official arrivals of Angeliño, Matias Soulé, Artem Dovbyk and Enzo Le Fée, the Roman club is now reportedly chasing another Rennes player, Arthur Theate. According to information from the Sports Gazettethe former Bologna player would be Roma’s priority to strengthen its defense.
The 24-year-old Belgian, an undisputed starter since his arrival in Brittany, has played 40 matches in all competitions with Rennes this season. A transfer could be possible for around 20 million euros, while Florent Ghisolfi, the club’s new sporting director, is working hard on all sides to strengthen the Roman squad. Arthur Theate is in no rush to leave Rennes, but he would not close the door to a return to Italy either.
