Close to a transfer with Al-Hilal last summer, the transfer did not take place due to excessively high salary demands requested by Romelu Lukaku (30 years old). Now on loan at Roma, the Belgian already has 15 goals under his belt with the Giallorossi. The former Inter player, however, has desires elsewhere, notably the Saudi Pro League. After the friendly match in Riyadh against Al-Shabab, the striker wanted to give his opinion on the Saudi championship: “In the next two years, I see the Saudi Pro League becoming one of the best leagues in the world, if not the best. Clubs are putting a lot of effort into bringing the best players here, this could soon be the best competition ever. »

Complimentary words which could make one think of an appeal from the Belgian. The latter took the opportunity to affirm the objectives of the second part of the season of the Louve club: “We all have a responsibility to take Roma higher in the table and go as far as possible in the Europa League. This is our goal and we work towards it every day.”. In the championship, La Louve is still far away in the standings with its 8th place. They will play Feyenoord in the Europa League in a few weeks.
