Ash by Elegance — formerly known as Dana Brooke — returned to NXT last month in a surprise appearance, something she recalls not being able to tell anyone.
The superstar appeared during last month’s NXT Battleground in a surprise cameo. In her appearance, the star popped up during the NXT Women’s Championship match between Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez. She tried to stop Tatum Paxley from stealing the TNA Knockouts Champion, but Grace ended up dealing with both women.
During a recent virtual signing for RDP Promotions (via POST Wrestling), Ash by Elegance reflected on the moment, saying that she couldn’t speak to anyone about it prior.
“I was like a caged animal in a caged room for like eight hours,” said Ash by Elegance. “I couldn’t see or say ‘Hi’ to anybody.”
Ash then joked that she had a talk with Shawn Michaels and TNA President Anthony Cicione about it ahead of time.
“Shawn Michaels and then I had a call with the President of TNA, and I was like, ‘Of course I will. It’s like an ex-girlfriend or boyfriend wanting you back, right?'” joked the star.
