Asian Cup: Qatar completes the last four

Qatar qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Cup this Saturday by defeating Uzbekistan.

It was on penalties that the holders of the trophy made the difference, while the score was 1-1 at the end of regulation time (3 tab to 2).

For a place in the final, the host country of the tournament will face Iran next Wednesday, who earlier in the day got the better of Japan (2-1).

The other half will pit Jordan and South Korea against each other the day before, two countries which respectively eliminated Tajikistan (1-0) and Australia (2-1, ap).
