Saint-Étienne hosts Caen this Saturday (3 p.m.), for the 35th day of Ligue 2. A match to follow live with commentary on our site, and to watch in streaming.

ASSE-Caen, pre-match:

In full recovery operation, AS Saint-Étienne is now hoping for a direct transition to Ligue 1. Remaining on two successes in a row, Olivier Dall’Oglio’s men are in third place in the Ligue 2 standings , just one small point from Angers (2nd). So the Greens don’t need much more to hope to find the elite without having to go through the dangerous box of the play-offs. To consolidate their position and perhaps climb a little further in the rankings, they will already have to beat Caen this Saturday (3 p.m.) at Geoffroy-Guichard.

Not an easy task since the Caennais are also focused on hopes of returning to Ligue 1. Seventh, one unit from the last place for access to the play-offs currently occupied by Paris FC, the visitors of the day would see themselves come and disrupt the Saint-Etienne plans. However, the task will be complicated for them, especially since they have not won a single match at ASSE since February 2017 (5 defeats and two draws).

ASSE-Caen, the probable compositions:

Saint-Étienne: Larsonneur – Mason, Batubinsika, Nadé, Pétrot – Tardieu – Mbuku, Moueffek, Chambost, Cafaro – Cardona

Caen: Mandrea – Henry, Traoré, Thomas, Abdi – Lebreton, Debohi – Kyeremeh, Le Bihan, Gomis – Mendy
