Aston Villa are reportedly advancing in talks to seal the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler, who has twice won the Ligue 1 title during his time in the French capital.
Soler also previously impressed at former club Valencia, so will likely be well known by Villa manager Unai Emery, who has had spells in charge of Sevilla and Villarreal in recent times.
It now seems Villa are working on signing Soler, according to L’Equipe, with the 27-year-old Spaniard set to be made available by PSG after falling out of favour in Luis Enrique’s first-team in recent times.
Soler could surely be a good fit for someone like Villa, however, even if it’s not quite happened for him during his two years at the Parc des Princes.
Soler transfer: PSG star to move to Aston Villa?

AVFC have just secured Champions League football for next season, which means they can attract some big names to Villa Park this summer.
Someone like Soler might not have been tempted in the past, but now he can surely see a promising future for himself at a team like Villa, and under a manager like Emery.
