Professional wrestling’s rigorous demands have taken their toll once again, this time on WWE star Asuka, who recently underwent knee surgery. She has now opened up about the daily challenges she faces in her recovery post-surgery.

During a recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Dakota Kai disclosed that Asuka had sustained an undisclosed injury, prompting her withdrawal from the Queen of the Ring tournament.

Asuka then confirmed the news, declaring a hiatus from WWE television to concentrate on recuperating from a lingering knee injury. The issue initially surfaced approximately two months ago during a segment on SmackDown, where Asuka was visibly seen limping.

“After Backlash and the European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while. My partners Kairi and Dakota helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them.”

While speaking on her vlog, Asuka announced that she was moving to a rehabilitation center to work on her injury. The star’s time in the center is expected to help her recover faster, though there is no certainty yet about when she’ll be well enough to compete.

“Now I am going to be moved to a rehabilitation center for my rehabilitation.”

The Empress of Tomorrow confessed to facing major issues in her daily life using crutches. When the airport authorities saw her struggles, they provided her with a wheelchair. She mentioned that she had never used crutches before and found them difficult to use. The airport staff intervened by getting her a wheelchair, which significantly eased her mobility challenges. Without the wheelchair, she noted, it would have been difficult to arrive at the airport in time for her flight.

“I’ve never used crutches before. Difficult to use it. The airport staff got me a wheelchair when they saw how hard it was for me to get around. If I had not used the wheelchair, it would have been difficult to arrive at the airport in time for my flight.”

While Asuka’s fans will surely feel her absence, her health must take precedence. We wish her a swift and full recovery and eagerly anticipate her eventual return to WWE television, whenever that may be.
