Molenbeek supporters are very angry with their players, who were eliminated from the Belgian Cup after an internship in Spain.
If things are going much better for Olympique Lyonnais, it is a crisis for one of John Textor’s other clubs, RWD Molenbeek. The Belgian club is going through a difficult period, with a series of three defeats in four league matches, which has plunged it into the red zone of the Jupiter League. And to make matters worse, RWDM was knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Belgian Cup by Ostend (2-0), a second division club, following an internship in Spain.
“Total shame”
On Saturday, supporters of the Belgian club came to the training center to speak to the players. And one supporter even brought… a pair of flip-flops.“Who wants them? Person ? Yet it’s Club Med here!”railed this supporter. “Last week, you went to Spain, in the sun. You came back, and what did you show? Shame. Total shame »continued the man, reports the Last Hour.
The tone was clearly not cordial, and another supporter suggested that certain players fight it out. “ If anyone is a little hot, we can make an appointment in a parking lot,” he said. RWD Molenbeek would do well to win this Sunday against Eupen (7:15 p.m.) to calm the atmosphere a little…
