Unwanted at OGC Nice, Youcef Atal was transferred to Türkiye. The Algerian full-back, who could have returned to Ligue 1 after his heavy suspension, signed for Adana Demirspor.

Arriving at OGC Nice in 2018, from Courtrai, Youcef Atal officially leaves the Aiglons this Friday, after 115 matches for 12 goals. The Algerian right back, 27, was transferred to Adana Demirspor, the current 9th in the Turkish Super Lig, where the former Parisian Edouard Michut and the Portuguese veteran Nani play.

Atal was suspended for seven matches by the LFP disciplinary committee on October 25, when he was the subject of a preliminary investigation for “advocating terrorism” after a publication concerning the war between Israel and Hamas.

Nice stops the costs

The player revealed at Paradou AC, an excellent counter-attacker on his side, could have returned to Ligue 1 after his return from the African Cup of Nations with the Fennecs, but, while he was under contract until next June , the leaders of Nice have decided to turn the page.
