Chelsea have given Conor Gallagher permission to travel to Madrid to finalise his transfer. A week after blocking all negotiations with Atlético, the Blues are preparing to end this interminable saga with multiple twists and turns. The English midfielder was already due to sign for the Colchoneros a few days ago, as part of Samu Omorodion’s transfer to the London club, but Chelsea made a last-minute U-turn, calling the whole operation into question.

Except that in the meantime, João Félix has entered the dance and Chelsea would even be on the verge of making official the arrival of the Portuguese for a little more than 50 million euros. According to the Daily MailGallagher should finally make the reverse journey and join Atlético de Madrid, where he is eagerly awaited by Diego Simeone who had made him his priority to strengthen the midfield.
