Marcos Alonso (33) is coming to the end of his adventure at FC Barcelona. Arriving in Catalonia last season after seven years at Chelsea, the Spanish left-back never established himself with the Blaugrana. This season, he has only played seven matches with Xavi's men. This is due to numerous injuries, but also to a lower back operation that took place last January.

But since the beginning of March, Marcos Alonso has had the medical green light to play. Except that he no longer appeared in the Barça jersey. Free from any contract at the end of the season, the defender should return to Madrid. Sport relays information from the Cadena SER which in fact ensures that the former resident of Real Madrid is very close… to Atlético de Madrid! Negotiations between the two parties would evolve very favorably. However, no details on the duration of the contract have filtered out.
