Leeds United are currently pushing for promotion back to the Premier League and former QPR manager Gareth Ainsworth believes that the Whites will secure a return to the English top flight at the end of the season.

Ainsworth feels that 22-year-old Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is the reason Leeds will secure automatic promotion back to the Premier League.

“If they can keep Summerville in the form he is on, then he is this player that teams have had in the past where you say ‘that play got them promoted. That player was the one’. Summerville has done that”, he said on Sky Sports (13/02/24 at 7:25 pm).

Summerville has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 15 goals and picking up eight assists in the Championship so far. His ability to score goals consistently and create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates have added a new dimension to the Leeds attack.

He has been an indispensable asset for them and he seems to have hit top form this season. The player was linked with the move away from Leeds during the January transfer window, but they managed to keep him at the club.

Leeds fans will certainly be delighted with his performances so far, and they will hope that Summerville can stay fit and healthy until the end of the season.
