Author of an excellent first season at OM, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is being courted by the Saudi club Al-Shabab.

While OM seems to be reaching the goal regarding the search for its new coach, a position left vacant by Jean-Louis Gasset at the end of the season, the summer project promises to be colossal on the field. Between the loaned players who have not convinced (Joaquin Correa, Jean Onana) and the team executives who are being courted (Jonathan Clauss, Chancel Mbemba, Leonardo Balerdi), the squad risks once again being turned upside down during of the transfer window.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, too, is part of this category of reliable elements who interest people. Best Olympian director in 2023-2024, with 30 goals in all competitions (including 17 in Ligue 1 and 10 in the Europa League), the Gabonese striker (34) had a successful first season with Ciel et Blanc. Performances which have revived the interest of teams from the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia.

According to The Team, the Al-Shabab club, ninth in the Saudi Pro League, has been following the Marseille center forward for several weeks. Information confirmed by Foot Mercato, which specifies, however, that the former Barcelona player has no intention of packing up. According to journalist Sébastien Denis, the Marseille number 10 has a “strong desire to stay at OM”where he is under contract until 2026. News which will reassure Marseille supporters.
