Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Ulajh are the two releases that clashed at the box office on August 2. The two are of different genres – while one is a hardcore romantic movie, the other one is a suspense thriller. As both movies were released on the same day, their box office performances were underwhelming as they collected under Rs 5 crore in 2 days.

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Ulajh box office collections

Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer opened by earning ₹1.85 crore nett on day 1. Neeraj Pandey’s latest offering shows a slight growth on day 2 as it collected ₹2.15 crore on Saturday. Reportedly, the movie roughly earned ₹4 crore nett in India, so far. Talking about Janhvi Kapoor starrer, the movie showed a healthy growth of over 60% on Saturday. It earned ₹2.2 crore on day 2 and its total comes to ₹3.57 crore NBOC.

Bollywood Bubble gave Ulajh 2 stars and a part of the review read, “Janhvi Kapoor-led Ulajh is a predictable spy thriller that majorly skips the thrill part. With a slow-paced narrative – if it was a digital release you could watch it at 1.25x speed and not miss anything, and unimpressive music, BGM & direction, this spy thriller fails its mission despite commendable performances by Janhvi (she proves she can act – and act well during some scenes), Gulshan Devaiah, Meiyang Chang and Rajesh Tailang.

Bollywood Bubble gave 2.5 stars to Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer as a part of the review read, “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha attempts to deliver a hardcore love story, but its narrative feels somewhat dated in today’s context. Nonetheless, Ajay Devgn and Tabu evoke the charm of old-school romance, which is bound to make your heart flutter. For fans of slow-burn romances, this film is a worthwhile pick. Additionally, it’s important to note that the film isn’t solely about Devgn and Tabu. Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar also shine in their respective roles. However, the movie falls short of living up to its title, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. Instead, it might have been more aptly titled Hamari Adhuri Kahaani 2.
