More Details On Ashanti’s Labor Experience

As The Shade Room previously reported, Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, on July 18.

In August, the singer got candid about her labor experience while speaking exclusively with Entertainment Tonight, per The Shade Room.

“It was such an amazing, incredible feeling and experience,” Ashanti said. “…He came a little early, and dad had to fly in last minute — which was awesome… seeing his face for the first time — I cried. It was just so emotional and spiritual at the same time, you know, kind of having a vision of this moment for a long time.”
