The Star Opened Up About Her Hit Song ‘Love’ In 2023
As The Shade Room previously reported, in June 2023, Cole opened up about creating her hit song ‘Love.’ At the time, she explained that not only did she dislike the song, but the iconic riff in her chorus was a mistake.
“I didn’t really think that I was good at writing slow records, but I took my lil CD player and sat in the corner […] and I just wrote the record. Everybody loved it, but I just didn’t like it,” she told VIBE before sharing how the riff came to be. “I messed up and they said do it again. They kept it. They liked it, but I hated it.”
