This might get awkward.
“The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri is hosting “Saturday Night Live” this Saturday with Jennifer Lopez as the musical guest four years after the former said the latter doesn’t know how to sing.
During a 2020 appearance on the “Scam Goddess” podcast, the actress, now 28, claimed the Grammy nominee’s career was “one long scam.”
“She thinks she’s on multiple tracks, but it’s not her,” Edebiri claimed, seemingly referring to a rumor that Lopez uses ghost singers to record her music.
“I think she thinks that she’s still good even though she’s not singing for most of these songs.”
Edebiri, who won her first Emmy last month, went on to admit she became “fascinated” with the “On the Floor” hitmaker’s career and “read up on” theories that she did not sing all of her tracks.
Ayo Edebiri’s past criticism of Jennifer Lopez has resurfaced ahead of their joint Feb. 3 “Saturday Night Live” episode. NBC/YouTube“A lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, ‘J. Lo didn’t have time to make it to the studio,’ like, ‘J. Lo was busy,'” she claimed.
“It’s like, ‘Doing what?’ Not singing, obviously!!”
