Andi Dorfman returned to the hospital less than one week after giving birth.

“Welp, we’re back! This time for Mama (minor setback and need a quick/safe procedure) but got a quick snuggle with this little nugget first,” Dorfman, 37, announced on her Instagram Stories Saturday. She also shared a picture of her holding her daughter while in the hospital.

“Lesson Learned: No matter how clueless you are about motherhood, you still know your body best! Listen to it! Yes, recovery is tough and everyone is different but your instincts are valid (and probably right).”

After giving birth to her first baby with husband Blaine Hart on Dec. 20, the “Bachelorette” alum said she began experiencing “a ton of pain.” She was later diagnosed with “one large and one small hematoma.”

According to the Cleveland Clinic, a hematoma “happens when you have blood pooling someplace inside your body.”

“It was getting worse by the day. Despite the internet saying recovery takes time, I still felt something was wrong and finally after trying every home remedy, I called my doctors and they told me to come right in,” she told her followers.

Dorfman continued: “Within a few hours, we were at the hospital and prepped for surgery. A very straightforward procedure but still pretty terming having a 6-day-old baby, plus loads of hormones still lurking.”

“I felt some guilt worrying about myself instead of my daughter but realized she’s no good if I’m no good. Hope this helps anyone out there doubting their own postpartum recovery.”

Dorfman announced the birth of her baby girl via Instagram on December 22, sharing a sweet photo of her and her husband holding their daughter while still in the hospital.

We are more in love with her than we could ever have imagined. I cry on the spot just looking at her and Dad is completely wrapped around her cute little finger.”
